What
is web-based mail?
Web-based mail is mail that you access online rather than
through downloading the e-mails to your harddrive. The
mail is stored on our server until you delete it.
How
much space do I have?
Each box is allocated 5MB of space. If you also have
an e-mail client such as Outlook or Eudora you can set up a
POP3 account to regularly download the mail. This
serves two functions - it keeps the box clean and available
for other e-mail and it stores the e-mails for archival
purposes.
How
do I access the web-based mail server?
To access the web-based mail, just type http://mail.yourdomain.com,
where yourdomain is actually your domain - into the browser. The http://
part must be there. You will come to the following
screen:
Type in your e-mail address
and password. You will come to the following screen:
From here you can send and
receive just like any other web-based mail system such as
Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com.
What
is my username?
Your username is your e-mail
address.
I
keep getting a "The page cannot be displayed
error" when I try to log in. What's wrong?
If you don't type in the "http://www"
part into your browser's address field, you will get this
error.
Do
all Coastline customers have web-based mail? Can I get it?
Web-based mail is available for customers that have been
notified that they are on the Win2000 server. If you would
like to be moved to this server, please log into your control
panel and send a message to our technicians.
