What is the control panel?
The control panel allows you to manage the passwords,
features and e-mail boxes associated with your account.
Does anybody else have access to my
information?
No. The only
people who can get into your control panel are those who
have your client ID and password, which are unique for each
account.
Back
How many control panels do I get?
That depends. Generally,
you can manage all of your domains from a single control
panel. If you
have more than one client ID, however, then you will have to
get out of one control panel and access another to manage
different domains. For
that reason we always suggest existing clients add domains
through the control panel rather than our online signup form
because it makes long-term management easier.
Is the connection secure?
If you look up on the address bar when you are in the control
panel, you will see https://, which indicates a secure
connection.
What can I do in my control panel?
You can
-
add or close domains
-
add, modify and delete e-mail boxes
-
add features
-
initialize ASP scripting
-
change the client and FTP passwords,
-
change your sign up plan
-
see the current charges for your account
Back
Can I upload my website through the
control panel?
No, you can only upload your site through FTP or FrontPage
When do I have to contact support
directly?
When you need to add more than one DSN, set up raw logs,
add usernames/passwords for the account, or
Why didn’t the feature I just
added go into effect immediately?
Your request went to our support staff, who will make the
necessary additions to your folder.
You will be notified as soon as the changes have made
and you can use the new feature.

When editing e-mail boxes it
forever to move from screen to screen?
Is there something wrong?
No, editing e-mails is more time consuming than requesting
a chat forum because you are making the changes real-time
rather than requesting the feature from support.
Once you change a password or add a box you may need to
wait up to fifteen minutes to see the change, but that’s
because the servers refresh their cache every fifteen minutes.
The box and changes were made immediately.
What’s the difference between my
FTP password and my client password?
The FTP password is associated with your username and
password located on the server.
This account has full control of the folder where your
web site is stored. The
client password is associated with your Client ID number.
The control panel can cross-reference with your domain
name, but the password is actually to the control panel
itself. If you
have multiple domains, each can have a unique password but
they will all share the same Client ID and password.
Back
Can an alias be directed into a
subfolder?
No, aliases are directed to the root folder of the target
domain.
Can I add vacation messages from my
control panel?
No, you will need to access vacation messages from a
different directory. If
you go to http://www.yourdomain.com:81
and enter the box ID and password, you will be able to add the
vacation message there. Be
careful not to make any other changes, however, as this is the
heart of your e-mail box and any other changes could disable
the box completely.
What if I want to add more than one DSN?
Once the DSN is clicked, it remembers that you made the
request. To add
additional DSNs, you will need to click on “open a support
incident” and request raw logs for your domain.
Remember when requesting DSNs the database must already
be in the subfolder. Be
specific as to where it is located.
Back
What if I want to add more than one chat
forum?
If you want an additional chat forum, click on “open a
support incident” and request a second forum and specify the
subfolder it will be stored in for your domain.
What if I want to see raw logs
instead of stats?
If you want the raw logs to be stored in your folder (in a
subdirectory called /logs), click on “open a support
incident” and request raw logs for your domain.
